As one of the most promising young and upcoming drivers in the world, Yazan was one of the youngest drivers to be chosen to participate in FIA institute drivers shootout in Austria this year. Yazan is an 18 year old Syrian race driver,  who has gone against the odds in his zone and made it into the international motorsport scene. After spending some time in Karting, picking up a 3rd place in the CIK-FIA Middle east karting cup along the way. Yazan is also champion of the first official Saudi Karting championship, winning every round of the championship, and was also recently crowned vice-champion of the first single seater championship in Saudi Arabia, after dominating the first half of the championship till he ran into several mechanical issues later in the season. This year, Yazan hopes to secure some finance to continue his racing in the UK and Europe.

Latest news:

November 2011: Yazan was chosen as one of the 30 most promising young drivers in the world, and so he was invited to attend FIA institute drivers shootout in Austria, Melk, in Mid November. However, unfortunately, He wasn't chosen as one of the 18 drivers who will continue to be trained with the FIA academy, and mostly due to his lack of experience compared to the rest of the contestants, and this is all because as a driver coming from the middle east, where very little attention is given to the sport, Yazan has not had any facilities, financial support, or anything to support his career other than his own and fathers hardwork. Yazan is currently looking for sponsors to continue his racing in the UK where he currently resides, and hopefully to race in Formula Renault UK next season.
